Armyworm

Have you seen this pest?

Description: Highly variable in color. Adults have broken, white stripe down center of back and dark stripes down the side.

Damage: Most frequently occurs in no-till fields that were sod the previous year. Larvae feeds on corn leaves from mid May to mid June. They can shred leaves and defoliate plants.

Threshold for responsive treatment: 25% of plants damaged.
